This couple wanted to enjoy retirement to the fullest by finding a new property. However, being located in the heart of Mersea Island, they realised extending their current home would deliver everything they wanted and more.

Their architect was quick to recommend TLC after drawing up front and rear extensions to the single-storey house, allowing for a brand-new kitchen with a modern breakfast bar and maximised living room space.

TLC fitted seven-metre steel beams to securely expand the house in both directions. This strong structural support proved heavier and more logistically challenging than alternative methods, but TLC was determined to maintain quality above all.

The decision paid off when TLC finished on schedule 12 weeks later with two rock-solid extensions, giving the fresh feel the client was looking for.

When work started it was quickly apparent how hard-working and professional TLC was. They all pulled together as a team of people who liked to work closely with each other to produce the very best job. In a short space of time they were more like our friends than strangers here to do some work. The job to us was big and complicated, requiring about ten different steel beams, but the kitchen fitter was very attentive by always keeping us up to date with progress and checking how we wanted things done. When the work was completed, we were and still are completely satisfied. We contacted TLC months after the build was completed and mentioned a couple of problems which were quickly resolved. We would recommend TLC and Levi Draycott is a joy to have been involved with.
